How do I love 2lips? Let me count the ways! Er, there’s, um…well, you can’t really count on much from 2lips, I’m afraid. “And why is that, Chris?” you may wonder. Actually, it’s because there’s so little to the site, aside from its agreeable name; there’s just not much to count. Can there really be only 33 models on the entire site? Can there really be only a handful active at once? Apparently that’s the case. Their tagline is “Your Source for Pleasure,” but don’t they know that I need to have lots of girls to find my pleasure?

All that said, however, the site does have something big going for it: despite its limitations, it’s not 247live. Then again, it’s not Flirt4Free, either.

The Good Things About 2lips

I’m gonna cut 2lips some slack here. It’s obvious that it’s not the oldest and grandest site out there. That being the case, it’s doubtless still growing, though it’s taking its time finding new camgirls — and it seems to be slipping behind a bit. Last time I visited there were more girls on the schedule, and I know for a fact there were 36 in early January. They need to be paying their ladies better, I suspect.

But this is supposed to be the section for the things I like about the site, so let’s get back there. I have to admit that I love the name; it reminds me of one of the classic off-color jokes of all time, which was no doubt the intention. (Can’t figure it out? Slip me five bucks by PayPal, and I’ll let you know). Then there’s the free teaser chat — which is, after all, what this site’s all about. On 2lips, it lasts a satisfyingly long time, even if you can’t get the girls to take their panties off. (They might do all kinds of erotic things for you otherwise, though.) No chat-bots or keepers ever bugged me to take the girl private, and the girls themselves didn’t seem too hard-sell about it, either. The only time I had a chat session run out on me was when the model’s shift ended, or when another customer took her private.

Technology-wise, 2lips is satisfying, if not impressive. The video was good, if a little slow, and there was no option for broadband; but still, you could see everything you needed to see. Plus, it’s an easy chat site to visit. It opens quickly, you can move from room to room without waiting forever for it to catch up, and there’s no cumulative use of computer resources that ends up crashing your system. If only every site that offers free teaser could say the same.

The Not-So-Good

Sadly, a cool name, lengthy free chat, and some decent technology does not a great free teaser chat site make. Variety is also important, and there just isn’t much here. It’s all Eastern European vanilla with an occasional Asian sprinkle — though admittedly, some of these girls are fantastic. The chat rooms are often quite crowded, which is not unusual when there are just 4-8 girls available. At any given time, there’ll be 20-30 visitors trying to chat, and you know what that means: competition for scare resources. Even the older lady with the big ol’ appendectomy scar is going to be getting a lot of action. As a result, you see this unusually often:

I was, frankly, impressed by the length of the free teaser that 2lips offers, but the fact is that you’re not going to get any nippage or other private flesh until you pay a little money, you know what I’m saying? All the girls charge $2.99 a minute for private shows. You’d scream if that were a long-distance telephone rate, but for most folks it’s not so bad for private nudie chat. Of course, it makes me scream anyway, and not in a good way; have I ever mentioned that I’m cheap? Well, I am. Why do you think I called this site Free Teaser Chat and not Paid Teaser Chat? Because I ain’t payin’.

Anyway, if you absolutely have to pay for web chat, it’s not so bad. You can use CCBill to charge your account with $30, $60, or $150 at a time, so it’s a fair investment if that’s your thing. Or — and this is where we get to the heart of the matter — you can let yourself be charged $29.95 per month to view the site’s high-quality porno flicks on Windows Media. There are more than 2000 videos in their library. Hmmmm…you don’t suppose that’s the real reason 2lips exists, do you? Say it isn’t so.

In this reviewer’s humble opinion (ha!), 2lips falls on the “so-so” region of the chat continuum. At this point it’s too limited to say much; there aren’t enough girls for the number of visitors, and there’s not much variety among them. The free teaser chat is excellent, which is really the only thing that saves the site from reviewer’s oblivion. But overall? It’s boring. I’d be interested in seeing what it’s like a year from now, but I’m not really interested in visiting it again til then.
