Well, hello wellcam!
What we’ve got here is a nice-looking, well populated adult chat site, which actually has its business model on straight and its corporate head somewhere outside its ass. While it’s not perfect, it’s a lot closer than most of the sites I’ve looked at lately. I’m thinking specifically of bland fare like WatchCams, SexonCam, and SeventeenLive, if must know. So look here, and compare! This pleasant site has literally hundreds of girls to choose from, many of whom are, to use a technical term, rather yummy. Better yet, there’s someone actually minding the store most of the time. Yessir, it’s easy on the eyes and you can actually find girls online. Amazing, that.

wellcam offers a selection of more than five hundred performers, so that even if only a small percentage of the roster is online at any particular time, you’ve got someone to keep company with. Admittedly, the size of their roster doesn’t hold a candle to ImLive’s or iFriends’, but so what? It’s capacious enough to provide most of what you need. It’s most heavily populated with Europeans, though I saw performers from Canada, South America, and the Philippines in the mix. So while the variety isn’t everything it could be — I didn’t see any Black girls, for example — it’s not bad. It’s better than most sites I’ve seen recently, in fact.
Here’s another thing I was impressed with: wellcam actually has some free chat. No, really! It does! Was that a double-take I just saw you do? After this recent drought we were experiencing you probably expected me to be all disappointed and say no, no free chat at all — so happy to disappoint you on that score. Log onto wellcam and you’ll immediately be linked into free group chat with the first available girl on their list, but it goes farther than that — you can select any online girl and log into chat with them, too. Ah yes, just like the old days! The chat doesn’t last forever (after all, this isn’t Flirt4Free), but it goes on long enough to make you all the more aware of what you’ve been missing if you’ve been cooling your heels with the likes of WatchCams or SexonCam.

If you want to register at wellcam, easy enough: it’ll cost you exactly nothing. That’s another piece of free that I like about the site. All you do is register your username, password, and email address, and you don’t have to pay any kind of useless membership fee, like certain other sites charge. Oh, that doesn’t mean they won’t take your money — they’ll do that eagerly indeed, and you’ll need a wad of it if you want to talk to the individual performers. You can pay by ordinary credit card in the usual intervals of $25, $50, $75, or $100. Less ordinary are the payment arrangements you can take advantage of if you have one of those newfangled Epassporte digital Visa cards. Then they’ll allow you to charge your account with $30, $50, $100, $150, or $250. Now that’s tempting. Too tempting, if you ask me! How can I maintain my rep as a cheap bastard if they make things so easy on me?
Well, there’s the performer per-minute rates — they’re kinda scary, on the verge of being downright frightening. If you run out of free chat you have to buy it at average rates of $1 per minute for group chat (eh, not bad), $2.50 per minute for private chat (which is kind of stretching it), or $4.50 (ouch!) per minute for VIP chat, whatever that is. I’m assuming that’s the point where they’re willing to get naked ‘n nasty. Need I point out that you can buy an issue of Hustler for not much more than a minute’s worth of VIP time here? No?
For all you technorati out there: this isn’t a digital chat-heaven, so don’t go in expecting it. The video is good quality broadband; hardly the best I’ve seen, but you can see all you need to , and that’s what matters. Just as important, the site’s easy to navigate around, and it’s clean of any bells and whistles that might get in the way of getting around. What more need you ask of a site you’re likely to spend a lot of time tooling around in?

Once you get past the fact that wellcam is actually well-populated and active — which is something, frankly, that should be expected of any mature adult chat site — it’s not all that remarkable. But it is a cool drink of water in the middle of the dessert down here at the end of the alphabet, and it’s a lot of fun. The population is substantial, there’s some variety (though not a lot), and I’ve always been able to find at least three or four girls online when I feel like playing. It’s expensive, yes, but this isn’t unexpected; and unlike a lot of wannabes, it actually offers free chat, which I have desperately missed lately. All in all, wellcam’ positive features outweigh its negatives, and I have no problem with recommending it for your pleasure. In fact, I’m going to make it the Pick of the Month — an honor none of the sites I’ve reviewed have been able to achieve for, I dunno, the last three or four months. Cheers!
